Happy I did the right research and just didn't by the first thing that was shipped here over seas.

Met with a bunch of different solar companies and most of them were pushing for overseas panels produced in Asia. A friend of mine had a bad solar experience and the company he wen't with wen't out of business so he had to try and use the manufactter warranties which he said were like basically impossible, he gave up and now has a few dead REC or Qcell panels up there don't remember exactly which one. Canadian solar is the 5th largest manufacture of panels in the world (yes I actually checked this) and they even have a headquarters in the US now. That alone gave me comfort in knowing if something does go wrong, there not a million miles away and I won't have to go back and forth for days on google translator trying to communicate if needed. I purchase lots of things manufactured over seas but would never for something like this with a 30 year life expectancy.

New House and its the second time going solar and the Canadian panels made all difference

On my first house I flat out over paid significantly not knowing about energysage, a pushy door to door sales rep got me to sign for a system with Enphase and Qcell panells. Wound up paying $3.05 per wattt. The installer used the manufactuer warranty and working with qcell was a nightmare, it took months of communication back and forth with them before they came up with a game plan, then another few weeks later they got shipped. This time I did my research, I got a few quotes from companies offering manufaterer warrenties that were a little lower $2.10 but decided to focus on choosing the best installer beacuse at the end of the day that made all the difference. I had 2 inverters go out, texted my rep and service was out with in a week, didn't have to do anything. My neighbor wen't solar with a different company that used manufacturer warenties about after talking with him about my system he chose the same Canadian solar panels. 2 panels home some flash thing problem and he was able to file the warranty info in a single email and they shipped a week later. What I've learned through all of this is #1 the most important decision when going solar is choosing the best installer, check the BBB for info about them, there google reviews, check everywhere and you'll be happy you did.

not impressed

this company seems only interested in megawatt orders. while they advertise some exceptional new panel products, it is virtually impossible to get anyone that can find and fill such orders. those products all seem only available via OFFSHORE suppliers with long lead times and costly delivery, even w/ a 3 pallet order 31pcs per pallet. i have been wanting some of their CS7N series panels for nearly 2 yrs. BUT their marketing and sales departments are totally bogus enterprises for Canadian retail buyers - either 'direct' or thru any of the (very scarce) resellers I could find . . .

Met every expectation

I had the panels installed on the back of my house 2 years ago. They are doing everything they should do and nothing they shouldn't. Output has been a bit above expectations, and they have been completely reliable. I have 39 panels in place and have not had an issue with any of them. We have had some rough weather and they have come through it just fine. I would absolutely buy them again.
